I love this program because it encourages children to develop not only a love for reading but a love for descriptive language. Children really learning abstract terms that have been presented in concrete ways. Adding music to any piece of good literature creates such an atmosphere of enthusiastic learning. Concepts are learned, retained, and even applied in the early learners' everyday experience. She looked at the International PISA tests and why some countries do so much better than others and why the United States is usually in the middle. One of the things she did find was that the most successful students, no matter which country, had some things in common. One was reading. They were read to as young children and spent a lot of time reading as they grew up.Angela Turnerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06626345657194480485noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1295379888006925064.post-45987417590849732442014-03-31T18:54:18.467-04:002014-03-31T18:54:18.467-04:00Read out loud time is the best time at our house!Read out loud time is the best time at our house!Mary Warthhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14170533124035931956noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1295379888006925064.post-75773468035482678582014-03-31T05:26:26.713-04:002014-03-31T05:26:26.713-04:00My grandmother, an elementary school teacher, taug...My grandmother, an elementary school teacher, taught me to read when I was only three years old and I have had a love for reading and writing ever since, along with a natural knack for correct spelling and grammar and a varied vocabulary.

My husband and I read to our kids every night.Becky Fyfehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01595020500346331076noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1295379888006925064.post-19962735356251385562014-03-30T03:13:26.886-04:002014-03-30T03:13:26.886-04:00Reading is life.
