Unfortunately the diagramming construction is incorrect – even scarier than a visit from grammar ghost. The last part of speech is a predicate adjective, so the line should point back to the “being” verb like this:
You (Mr. Scrooge) | have been \ bad
                                                       \ very

  1. LOL. A Christmas nightmare. I never had to do diagramming in school. But in one teaching post, I had to teach how to do them! That was a nightmare. (I would not have given myself a good grade.)
